My house is slowly, surely, coming together. I have finally finished painting the dining room, a feat which only took me almost two weeks. So it's yellow, very yellow.
I know I wish to paint the living room a pastel green, but after deciding on a color I oh so remember that Bryan and I (ok Bryan) fastened the bookshelves to the wall. Also the wrought iron mirror is bolted into another wall with a shelf, bolted as well. Um, really don't feel like removing everything off the wall, paint, and refasten.
It's quite amazing how people can fix things in odd orders, but every morning people repeat the same routine. Seriously, when you get up everyone has a set routine to their morning down to if they put their shirt on first or their pants.
People also fix their coffee the exact same way, every cup. When I was in college I did a lot of studying at the local coffee shop. I would watch people how they prepare their coffee. Since it's a small town, you see the same people pretty much the same time everyday.
Me, (I've since changed how I take my coffee) but during college I would get a large coffee in a to-go cup, take one creamer and three natural sugars. I would shake the sugars in the packets before opening. Then I would stir counterclockwise three times, and throw the stir away. Couldn't use a spoon or knife, had to be a wooden stirrer in order to throw it away.
After coming to a recollection that I too am ocd when it comes to coffee, I watched others and their coffee maneuvers. Quite interesting once you start watching and paying attention, but very disturbing when you notice your own behavior.
So then you start noticing morning routines in general, it's the same behavior we must religiously get out of the bed, go to the bathroom, brush our teeth, take a shower, put on our pants, bra, and shirt. Of course, this order is all jumbled in each others own style, but you too are ocd. ha
