So Rummy is out of the office? Wow, big news. I watched Bush's news conference yesterday, I have to say the man is funny. Especially when it came to the Q&A, the way he shot down some of the reporters made me giggle.
So back to the point, Robert Gates is coming in to replace Rumsfeld and bring in a new perspective. Well, he has 27 years experience with the CIA. That is a bonus. Let's hope the Democrats will be happy with him (remember they called for Rumsfeld resignation first back in 2001 before the war started).
Speaking of the Democrats, they have claimed the Senate and the House as theirs as of yesterday. Montana and Virginia swung it officially to the other direction. Let's just hope that things will actually be able to get done for the next two years.
