Memphis!

Drove to Memphis and back this weekend. 6 hour drive one way, but only two roads to take. Not a bad drive, I don't know why people freak out about driving. People were asking me on Sat. when I was flying home, and as soon as I said I was driving back when I felt like it...they flipped. You drove! Usually, the response.

I like driving, I love road trips. Besides, I have the best road dog ever. She sleeps the entire time. Only time when she gets up is when I slow down in traffic. She gets up and sticks her head up front to look out the windshield, realizes we are to our destination and goes back to sleep. I love her.

So, I got to thinking this weekend about leaving the ATL. If I do not get accepted to grad school for this upcoming semester, I may move. I talked about moving to Memphis, b/c I'll have a place to live...but not seeing an clear path to teaching. Need to do some more research for Memphis. I may take some darts to a US map and research the three spots I hit to see which one has a better teaching angle.

I don't have anything holding me here in Atlanta. My family is here, but moving will give my folks a reason to travel some more. I'm unattached, no kids (my animals can move with me), and beginning a whole new career path that can take me to any state.

Let's see if I get accepted first.

Memphis is a cool town, I'd come visit you, although I'd miss you here. I know quite a few folks out there too, so if you're there and need someone to play board games with I can hook you up.
