Day Three of Jumping Starting the Diet

note to self: Olive Garden's soup and salad is not as healthy as one might think: end note to self


So...I was a little cranky yesterday. But! The milk thing does work, I remain "full" until lunch. Then I had a glass of milk with my tuna sandwich...apparently that didn't help with the calorie count.

I have to switch out my 2% for low/no fat milk. I can't bring myself to go soy milk. I like soy creamer, but I love milk too much to switch all soy.

So today's tip: eat slowly and don't eat with distractions (tv, computer)

this one maybe hard to accomplish. I love watching a tv show while eating dinner, the whole multitasking world we live in. The other is the whole eating slow thing. 40 hour week jobs have gotten us used to cramming down our lunches in a fast 30 minutes. Unfortunately, that has stuck with me now and even for dinner.

So, tonight I will turn off the tv and sit at the dining room table, I mean isn't that why we have one?
