Neighbor of the beast

My father sent me an email with Muslims protesting in London holding signs stating "Be prepared for the real Holocaust" and such. Well, I had to check it out with snopes.com to make sure that what I'm seeing is real before I let emotions decided for me.

Whelp, it's real . Scary too. What's even scarier is that the representatives were outraged about the implementations about murder and wanted that action to stop. Unfortunately, the Scotland yard could not respond b/c they feared one arrest would lead to violence. Peaceful protest my ass.

On another note, here in the states...It's not like our response with branches of government/lawfulness that were put in place to make things run smooth amongst the public really work. Two examples:

A: Cynthia McKinney = Grand jury takes how long?! I agree with the fact that if she wasn't of high profile she would have already been convicted.

B: Gay Marriage Amendment in Georgia = ok, take it to the courts b/c you don't like what the public answered. Well, it will be put back on the ballot and people will vote again. Taking it to the courts is undermining the whole democracy process and when you undermine that you destroy any respect the public once gave.

These examples show the behavior a child does between two parents when he doesn't get the answer he wanted. If the parents are good/smart they will have the same conclusion as the other. If not, well then the child gets what he wants and the parent's authority is lost. This is what is happening in our country right now.

Well, no comment on McKinney -- she gets lumped in the "crazy people I don't mention cuz they're really just attention whores" category, like Pat Robertson, Ann Coulter and Michael Moore -- but I'll disagree with part B. Just because it's popular doesn't make it right. Slavery was very popular, but it wasn't right. Discrimination based on sexual orientation is as bad as any other form of discrimination.

Not to mention the fact that a lot of law has been made by the courts. See Brown v. Board of Education and Roe v. Wade

It's the underminding the public period. We voted they whined. Plain and simple, if there is such a discrimination the Amendment would have never even seen the ballot.
