places

Ok I was watching pbs about china. I started thinking of places I want to visit during my lifetime. Here's a list so far

Great Pyramid of Giza

Olympia, Greece

Great Wall of China

Route 66, drive the whole thing or close to it as possible

Berlin

Venece, before it sinks

Grand Canyon

Taj Mahal

New York

California

Maine

Machu Picchu, the Inkas

The Euro Tunnel only to build up enough confiedence to do the Seikan Tunnel

All the AMerican President's homes, (I have already visited Monticello, Little White House, I think I am not positive I visited Montpelier but they are restoring it now so it would be cool to go again, I've also been to Ash-Lawn highland, Sherwood Forest, the Hermitage. Obviously all the houses in VA, except for Hermitage that's in Nashville, I remeber b/c they also have a Cherokee Exibit there.)

I know the last one's weird, but I like historical stuff and what's more awe then the live's of our past presidents?

Ok that's what I've got, If you want to add on then we would have a grand list to get visiting on

I have one of these, half on my Palm and half in my brain.

China and Egypt--check. Along with the other 5 world wonders. I can't remember them all offhand. My Dad has this incredible photo of him in a Huey flying over three pyramids. He was there for Bright Star, which I think I heard your Dad say he did also.

For diving, the Great Barrier Reef. And while I'm there, do one of those walkabouts in the Outback. I bet those pussies think it's hot there. Also for diving, Cuba, since the total lack of development thanks to communism has preserved the reefs.

Where else...Alaska, Italy, Germany. We can get stationed at the last two and really enjoy the experience instead of just a tourist trip.

Somewhere in Africa. I don't really care. If I could swing a deployment I would. Maybe we'll start a war there. That'd be nice...also, the Amazon.

A lot of the places I want to visit I want to be stationed at. Colorado, Washington state. If you've never been to the Keys, they're a trip.

Yeah, NYC and SoCal, 'cause they're so iconic. Besides them and the ones listed above, there's no where in America I'm especially keen on. I mean, I want to travel, but I could really visit any state and find something to interest me for the duration of my trip. But New England can go to hell. The people and the weather and the politics. Kennedy and Kerry...yeah, like Kerry wouldn't have appointed a liberal. Fuckin' ridiculous. I mean, what gets me is that Alito isn't even an extremeist! He's a fairly moderate choice given that Bush nominated him...Jesus.

Anyways...oh, the DVD player isn't black. Sorry. Apparently, black for DVDs, etc. went out when they made the VCR player you want to match with. Sorry.

Now, anyways, I think I'm covered. But really, those are the places I really want to visit. I'm down to go anywhere. I love Atlanta, but I know I'm gonna be looking forward to Korea and whatever comes after that (would Savannah be cool?). And any chance to see something new is worthwhile.

As far as President's homes go, well...they're the kinda trips I can be drunk on. I don't think it'd be hard to sneak a CamelBak of beer into the Little White House, so sure, we can visit all damn 44 (43, right?) of them if you want.

Incan/Mayan stuff would be cool, and definitely more doable in the near future than some of the other internat'l stuff (China's too far, Europe too expensive).

And if we drive Route 66, we're taking a trailer/RV.

btw way only you and i can see this post.

I was looking at the other 5 wonders, but they don't exist anymore. I looked up on wikipedia, and pretty much people go visit the spot, but that's all there is a spot of dirt that the hanging gardens used to be, or the statue of shit of what's that greek god's name?

I would like to learn how to dive. Never done it, tried to snorkle but the mask freaked me out. Either the mask or the whole breathing thing, but really would like to learn.

As far as Route 66, you were alread planning on getting a rv down the road, so we can check that to when we can afford the trailer and to take off for a couple of months.

We can do Africa, there are some great rainforests I wouldn't mind seeing there.

I've never been to the keys, so we can do that also. Oh, maybe even New Zealand, that would be really cool.
