Please tell me how this diet thing is supposed to work without starving oneself?

Breakfast- coffee with sugar, 8oz of milk
lunch- tuna salad on toasted bread, 8 0z of milk


and I'm already at 940 calories?! For a 1200 calorie day, that only leaves me with 240 calories left for dinner? And I'm supposed to have two snacks a day as well? so if I have the healthy recommended two snacks, that's 180 calories....so that leaves me with a 60 calorie dinner...


wow, maybe I should have had the tuna with no mayo (which there is only 99 calories in one tablespoon...which is one of my "snacks") and no bread (which two slices of toasted wheat is 260 calories...which means that's the rest of my "dinner")

arghhh....this wouldn't be so bad if I had a kick my ass exercise routine daily, but right now my routine consists of housecleaning and walking out to the mailbox to mail out applications and receive rejection letters.

This is gonna be a long month, I can feel it now.

1200 a day? I'm pretty sure that IS starvation. Where are you getting that number? I know when I put my stuff in on www.dailyburn.com it recommends around 2000 a day for me.

that's the typical calculation for females who wish to lose weight and is starting off with little to no exercise. When more exercise is added then the daily calorie count goes up.
