positive energy....positive energy....
I have to keep thinking that tomorrow's the day for me to get hired.
This weekend was for us to be shut in and get the closet and drawers cleaned out. Still debating on goodwill or yard sale. I'm thinking yard sale to get money, but I usually always give to goodwill at least twice a year.
Unfortunately, our shut in weekend was not completely to plan. One of my professors lost her son to cancer. So, I decided (since she is also one of my references) to show my support after realizing (with help from a friend) that funerals are for the living.
I'm glad I went, only a handful of students went. Including the dean and other professors. She was happy to see our faces, and we all sat together. It kinda made me wish I made more friends in Grad School. the people I sat with remembered me and came up to talk to me, so in a a way I didn't utterly piss people off with my obsessive competitiveness. It is sad to think about a parent losing a child. It is sad to think that he lost his battle to cancer at the young age of 37. He left behind a 5 year old girl. At the funeral she (the daughter) looked as if the loss of her father hadn't quite hit her yet. So sad.
