I'm enjoying just sitting on my porch. Doing nothing but sipping coffee and watching my cats try to attack a hummingbird. Actually, I'm avoiding the task of grading papers. This is the downfall of teaching English. The students work to create, edit, and publish a paper for me to read, yet I do not have the energy outside of school to grade them.
It's hard to judge someone's autobiography essay. What do I grade? If it is the grammar, then that takes a while to sit through and read every word. It's not like I can speed read to catch every error, so I'm going to continue sipping my coffee until the last of the coffee pot is done.
